The names of our apartments and studios are not random, but make sense. These are places in the village that have their history and can be visited

La Muralla (The Wall).

It surrounds and closes the village’s oldest part. At the end of the XI century, when the viscount Ramon Guillem sold Verges to the county of Empúries, the wall and the stone and lime towers were starting to rise. Over time and wars have modified enormously the original structure. Cruising around the exterior of the wall is to walk through the town’s history.
The squared towers, along with its narrow and long loopholes, talk about the times of throwing weapons. The round tower with round loopholes takes us to the era of fire weapons. The irrigation of the mill travels besides a part of the wall, just as water and stone would unite their forces to make this fortress even more impregnable.
